In March I was laid off. The company was making internal changes and trying to save money which means sending some folks home and I happened to be one of the chosen ones. It turned out to be a major blessing for me and honestly I needed the break so it came at the right time. I was able to shift my focus back to school and finished at the beginning of April.
I traveled to Memphis, TN, St.Louis, MS., Chicao, IL., and eventually Clinton, IA where I walked with the Ashford University graduating class of 2011! Magna Cum Laude grad here, hey!!! I also got to spend a week and a half with my best friend Shawn who I hadn’t seen in almost a year! Two or three or four birds with one stone, can you say WINNING!
While in Memphis I got my first tattoo, so I can mark that off my list. It really didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. So proud of my self for not being a big coward! I love what it stands for and I am glad that I finally did it.
After getting back from my trip I just vegged a lot to be honest. Slept in a lot, spent lots of time with Nia B. and caught up on a lot of reading! In June my old company posted a position similar to my old one in a new department with a higher starting pay so I said what the heck why not! I applied, interviewed, got the offer, took the position and here I am today! In between all of this off course I’ve had happy days, sad days, crying days, car broke down days, I want a boyfriend days, wish I never met him days, I need a job before I go crazy days, and so many more too numerous to mention. I’ll try to go deeper in detail about some of the events & I also have pictures that I took with my new Iphone 4 yay! (I’m not being paid to write that, but if Apple wants to holla at me, I’m sure we can work something out, cause I LOVE my phone!)
