Today is emancipation day in the Virgin Islands, July 3rd. Today I thought about the many things that I have emancipated myself from in the past years, negative situations that would have never changed if it wasn't for you. 3 years ago my life changed for the better, 3 years ago you my princess Nia Seygal were born. I can't believe the time has gone by so fast, but I haven't missed a moment and for that I am so grateful. The sleepless nights and all the tears I cried when I didn't know what to do to make you stop crying are gone and I wouldn't have changed anything if I could. I love who you are becoming, you make me proud everyday to be your mom. I'm excited for tomorrow and the day after that and the many more days to come.
